Surviving In Da Hood
DEAN MARSH has been involved in music since childhood and was influenced by church and musical reggae stage show videos like Sunsplash and Sting as well as sounds like Coxson, Saxson, Gemi Magic and Hip Hop videos. He got his first taste of fame following a performance at the Green Man, Shakenwell Lane, London and it’s been non stop from there as an artist and performer on the music circuit. He is the writer and artist on most of the tracks that can be heard in the movie ‘Surviving in da Hood’. He also stars in the music ‘Stamp’.
Maureen McCabe, known in the industry as Mia Chevais has been experiencing pop success since the 80s with a string of songs including ‘New York Eyes’, ‘Like to be the one’, ‘Thank you’, ‘The Way Love Goes’.
DONOVAN SIMPSON been acting for 12 years, has worked in film, television and stage. He obtained a B.A Honours Degree in Drama and Performing Arts. Donovan has starred in a diverse variety of pieces ranging from The Full Monty through to playing Othello at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and performing as Mr Prism in The Importance of Being Earnestina.
Sian Gentle is 21 and from London. She has been in the industry from a young age as a dancer, actor and musical entertainer. She has a unique tone of voice and raps honest lyrics as a spoken word pop artist . She is about to burst the UK scene with a fresh new genre of music called Spop which stands for spoken poetry pop. Her role in ‘Surviving in da Hood’ is an exciting insight in to her versatility as an actress.
